- Make a list of what you will need when you go to the hospital
- See what the hospital offers that you don’t need to bring from home
- Pack everything in one bag
- Put the bag near the exit door or in an easily accessible place
Documents required for the hospitalization procedure for childbirth:
- Mother’s and Child’s Health Handbook
- Health insurance card
- Personal stamp (inkan)
- Medical institution card of the medical institution where the pregnant woman will be hospitalized, among others.
It is recommended for those who are not very familiar with the Japanese language, to also have a translation app or a friend who speaks Japanese.
